Experience
Digital Creative Director
ZGM is an collaborative advertising and marketing company. My role here is to ensure quality in all of our digital efforts including motion graphics, animation and web applications, build and manage the web team and stay up to date with technology so we can find new and exciting ways to solve business problems.
MCM Studios Inc.
Owner and Creative Lead
This was a partnership that Craig Hicks and I started in a small studio on 17th ave in Calgary. We were purely digital focused and worked on many sites and applications. In 2005 we grew to the point we needed more space and relocated to the U of C where we turned our focus towards e-learning.
Mosaic Studios
Creative Manager
My role here was mostly to pilot an e-learning initiative targeted at grades 4 and 5 social studies. Using Java and Flash we were able to deliver an application that engaged and mapped onto current curriculum. Once this finished, I managed general production from print to web.
PJBishop Productions
Contractor
I worked for a variety of companies during this time from my little apartment in Edinburgh. Mostly web work and usability consulting, I managed to establish lasting relationships with companies such as: BBC Scotland, Mysys London, Time Life Warner Hong Kong and Edina Software.
Web4Test
Graphics Manager
Based in Edinburgh Scotland, Web4Test was an e-learning company developing training modules for professionals. I was brought in to help brand the company as well as re-skin and package their product to make it more attractive and usable for the client.
Oz New Media (EOL)
Lead Illustrator
I was fortunate to be a part of a dot-com company during the peak of it's popularity and see it grow out of control. I become the lead illustrator and eventually be part of a pilot team to create the main products for the company. Oz was an e-learning company that developed k-12 learning applications delivered over the internet.
